The place is best to be visited in the evening to enjoy the sunset and capture memories in photographs.
- Margaret Island
Margaret Island is a good place for hanging out and enjoying numerous sports and recreation activities. The place is located in the middle of the Danube river and covers an area of over 238 acres. The island houses many sights like the Japanese Garden, Musical Fountain, Water Tower, Musical Well, religious buildings, and much more. There is also a small zoo where you can pet animals. To fully explore the place, rent one of the many vehicles and stroll through the park. In case you feel hungry, fancy restaurants and stalls are inside Margaret Island to refuel your body.
- Great Market Hall
This site is a must-visit for food and shopping lovers. It is an indoor market designed by Samu Pecz on the Pest side of the city. This steel-covered structure is one of the bustling places of the city and spreads over an area of 10000 square meters. The marketplace is a decades-old structure that has been a part of the rich history of Budapest. It consists of two floors where tourists visit for shopping and delicious food. The ground floor is dedicated to food items. You can purchase a range of items like meat, pastries, cheese, liquor, and the popular Hungarian ingredient Paprika. The top floor of the market hall is filled with Hungarian souvenirs and crafts.
- Vajdahunyad Castle
Built-in 1896 for Millennial Exhibition, the castle is a collection of architectural styles that replicates several landmark buildings from different eras of the Hungarian Kingdom. The mind behind this structure was of architect Ignar Alpar who displayed a number of architectural designs from Romanesque to Gothic to Renaissance to Baroque. Many events of the city are organized in the castle including concerts and some festivals. The complex of the castle also includes the biggest agricultural museum in Europe where a number of exhibitions are hosted from time to time. Get on the paddle boat to best explore the castle and the surrounding area.
